On the left is the hubs, Mike. On the right is me, Laurie (a.k.a. Bunny—Bun Bun for short). Bun Bun’s is a long-time dream of mine that began in 1990. I baked and decorated cakes out of my kitchen for the Pease Air Force Base community, which, at the time, was beginning to disband for good. Over the years, I’ve created countless special occasion cakes for family, friends, and neighbors (sometimes bartering for haircuts or childcare services), and a myriad of confections for ladies get-togethers, neighbors in need, and church potlucks. When Mike and I married in 2010, I made our wedding cake! (I would not recommend this, brides-to-be!)

Many of our recipes come from my grandmother’s and mother’s recipe boxes (I keep Gram’s on a shelf in Bun Bun’s baking room as a reminder she is never far.), military wives and women’s church group cookbooks, scraps of paper from who knows where, and yes, even Pintrest. (I LOVE trying new recipes!) Some of my favorite baked goods start with our old friends Betty Crocker and the Pillsbury Dough Boy. You can rest assured whatever we prepare will be fresh, scrumptious, and memory-evoking!

The Bun Bun’s crew endeavors to create an atmosphere where you, our guest, will enjoy a simple, sweet, and/or savory slice of life every time you visit! Sit long, talk much, and laugh a lot while enjoying a tasty treat in the company of friends. Or, delight your family with an assortment of homemade goodies. We hope you enjoy the lovin’ that comes from Bunny’s oven and visit us often!
